Get Some Rest and Receive

Get Some Rest and Receive

"Get some rest you need it", He says. "But I have so much to get done", you Say. There is always things to be done but in His rest there is peace and abundant life. God is not talking about a rest he is speaking about being in a state of rest. He is in the intricate details of lives and he is aware of our every thought and emotion. He is aware of our distress and discomfort. He feels our pain, despair, discouragement, hate, bitterness, and resentment. All of these things are exhausting you and he cares about every bit of it.
These thoughts and emotions are running through you, overwhelming you day in and day out. Wearing you out, weighing you down, tearing you up from the inside. And he knows our needs greater than we know ourselves because of His supernatural awareness. Listen to him! He is speaking about a rest that is only found in Him. It's a place of rest only found in His presence. So the trick is to go with Him there, go for that walk and go often. The truth is that we will go through tribulation and things will fall down around us at times that we trusted would stand but through it all you have access to this rest by consistently stepping into His presence. Through it all, you can be filled full of hope and be so full of hope that your circumstance can not suppress it. Your hope in Him actually suppresses the negative impact that many receive during these times and you can persevere with great joy. Abundant Joy!

"We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you." Psalm 33:20-22

"A faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time." Titus 1:2

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
